 Double System Of Gout Stool And Match Safe (8902)
This hand made cane is as creative a cane as I have ever seen. I have a manufactured gout stool that does the same thing, but very cheeply made. They seem to have had a lot of gout back then. The idea was you would put your leg on the bar to keep it up. I like the striker, which was made by piercing tin with a nail, like the tin pie safes of the era. My guess is this one was made in the 1870's.
