Single Action Pepperbox (8709)

P. Touchard is on the side, along with SGDG, not guaranteed by the goverment. Most 6 shot pepperboxes are double action. Pull the trigger 6 times and it shoots 6 times. With a single action you have to pull the hammer back each time you want to fire. This is the only one of these most cane dealers have ever seen. It will bring more than a double action. Do you know how I know that, I won't sell it until it does. I've decided when the market says $10,000 its gone. I wonder how long that will take. The double actions are now bringing $5500 to $8000, depending on condition. Most are not signed they say brevette only. I sold one signed Dumonthier a long time ago, which never had a dagger. If you own it, it has gone up in value a lot. All these seem to be a good investment, and hold there value well. This one was Patented in 1884. Very well made with a gold collar and rosewood shaft.
