Ivory Rabbit On Entire Snakewood Shaft (9039)

This ivory rabbit isn’t huge, but it is well carved with glass eyes and the only umbrella I have seen with an entire snake wood shaft. I have seen hundreds of hard stone handles with snake wood finishing off the rest of the handle for a foot or so. After that a collar and a metal shaft to the ferrule. Every one of these were an umbrella handle put on a shaft because canes sell better. Circa 1910. Let’s get them back where they belong on umbrellas.
