Proposed Condition Grading System (9029)

Mint- never used, Near Mint- a few scratches and blemishes from light use, but no cracks or obvious damage. Average- What you would expect a cane thats 100 years old to look like. Minor cracking in ivory and few dents in metal, but all original parts except ferrule, which is often replaced. below average- Damaged or incomplete-not recommended as a good investment, without restoration or completion.
This system is not set in stone, and there are some loose ends, like where do you put old handles with new shafts. Lets hear some opinions in the forum.
