Thief (9086)

Undocumented thief’s .Dike has an example of one that has the prongs similar to this one. This one has the additional feature of a sword cane. By holding the shaft and pushing on the handle the prongs extend. By pulling on the handle, which is hand carved wood, the prongs retract. If you continue to pull the blade retracts from the shaft. The blade is 18” long and is triangular. The shaft is made of some type of hard rubber on metal. You can see cracks in the material. My goal is to have a purpose for putting every cane in the books that will go beyond the individual descriptions. A lesson or concept that will help collectors even if they don’t have that cane. Here we are, I’m in trouble already. I’ve never written a book before, let alone written in a book before, as I hoping to do. What I mean by that is, I hope other cane collectors add their canes to these books. These books are a work in progress, as I’m coming up with new ideas, with almost every cane description. My newest problem is, just a few canes ago, I wrote the two purposes of these books. Today I realized the purposes will show up in Canes of faith, but none of the others, including this one. The way I have decided to handle that is, to talk out loud, like this, and send you to Canes of Faith, priest cane. At some point I’ll figure out how best to handle problems like that so the books will be organized and make the most sense. Courtesy of Jack Wright Collection
