 Worlds Best Seat Cane, Or Most Complicated (8826)
This was patented in 1892 and is marked on the piece that was made by Benoit Co. Chicago. Mine is not signed as Dike says they were, but the one listed in Dike, exactly the same, is said to be patented in 1893. She says they were uncomfortable, which is very true, I can't believe they sold any of them, as it would take two of them to fit both cheeks. Still, it took near a 100 parts to make it. It is also in Canes of the United States By Dike.
