Here's an interesting gadget cane subject. How do you know if an item in a cane is original? This cane, which is hallmarked 1913, has 6 matching bone razors. They fit perfectly with no rattles. One for each day of the week, and
Sunday to rest. The answer is you can't tell in this situation. This is defined as a container cane with an item or items inside. It's the same if the container is in the handle or the shaft. As a general rule container canes are not that interesting, and they don't sell for high prices. Because it's easy to tuck something into a shaft, its near impossible to tell wheather the item is original or not. All gadget canes have some interest, even the fakes. There seems to be something for everyone. I think this is the only cane in this book with items inside that are not attached or matched or definately belong.
