 Carved Indian (8284)
I saw this as a cane handle recently, I have no reason to believe it was ever anything but an umbrella. By the time they started making these short umbrellas, canes were already in disfavor. It came on a special folding mechanism, is why it's so short compared to other short umbrellas. It folded double and along with the hand carved and hand painted handle was expensive in the late 1920's. It's very deco.
