Triple Signed Lyon Maker (8193)
The handle, the mechanism, and the latch button are all signed Lyon. Not just Lyon, but Lyon Maker. The latch button is the interesting part on this one as it is exactly like the tiffany and Co. umbrella before this one. Which leads me to believe that they made umbrellas for tiffany. It's not likely the other way arround as the tiffany button doesn't say maker, like they do on many of their other products.
This is the first Lyon Umbrella I have seen. The silk is very heavy, and in perfect condition. I am not sure if it's intact because of the thickness or because of how the silk was processed. I recently had someone tell me the reason silk isn't usually intact is because they chemically washed it, thereby weakening the fiber. I'd like more information on this.
