I recommend getting all three as you can use it on all your other wood antiques as well. You put it on with fine steel wool, which takes off all the old wax and dirt. As it has a color in the wax it makes all the scratches go away. A clean cloth and the wood shines beautifully. A shaft would have to be in really bad shape for me to recommend refinishing it. For black shafts just use any good black shoe polish. As with the briwax just dip the fine steel wool into the shoe polish and rub with the grain and polish with a cloth.
